We rallied at the WV State Capitol!

A group of locals made the trip to Charleston, WV recently to raise concerns and ask questions of elected officials in early March. Read full press release HERE and see the TV news coverage HERE. We met with Senator Ihlenfeld (D-Ohio County, 01) and a few other WV representatives. Ihlenfeld listened carefully to our concerns and has expressed caution in the past (jump to 25:15 in video) over the petrochemical build-out. He did not come right out and oppose the hub, but we gave him many reasons why he should. The 2020 legislative session is over in WV but we were pleased to be able to make some noise before it ended, especially because so many WV politicians have been pushing hard and creating awful bills to help the build-out. Visit the Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition's website for more information on the happenings in WV.
